Palliative Care

Palliative Care

Palliative care is a term derived from Latin ‘Palliare’, “to cloak.” It refers to specialized medical care for people with serious illnesses. It is focused on providing patients with relief from the symptoms, pain and stress of a serious illness. These people need a special kind of treatment and emphasis must be placed on compassion and friendliness. While some of these diseases might be terminal not all of them are and patients are always treated with compassion and consideration for their condition.
